Upcoming Events
We have a number of events that we would like to invite you to.
Mudgee Wine Festival
Every year, we look forward to the annual wine festival in Mudgee, where bellies are full of gourmet delights and glasses are topped up with delicious wines. This year, the Celebration runs from Saturday September 11 to Sunday September 27, during one of the most picturesque months in the region. We would love to see you at our new cellar door, where we will be providing lunches as well as local sculptures and artworks.
Go Grazing
Go Grazing is a food and wine matching event where Mudgee's finest vineyards and cellar doors exhibit their favourite wines, which are matched by a delicious morsel of finger food, created by Mudgee's celebrated chefs. This year, Thistle Hill teams up with Mudgee's famous Elton's restaurant, so come along to the Mudgee Racecourse on Saturday 26th September, and try our wines with delicious food!
Organic Feast in October
We all know the health benefits from consuming organic food and wine, so this is an invitation to our inaugural ‘Organic Feast’ to be held in Thistle Hill’s barrel hall on Saturday 3rd October. In the style of our previous Vintage Celebration dinners, the evening will commence with a vineyard walk, where you can see how grapes are grown organically; followed by a sumptuous dinner where Mudgee’s finest, locally-grown organic produce is matched with our delicious, organic wines.
Michael Slater, our winemaker extraordinaire, will be the Master of Ceremonies, not only walking you through the wines served at each course, but also explaining why the wines in our valley are so unique. We also hope to produce a museum wine or two from our private collection. The evening will also provide an opportunity for you to meet our new owners, Rob and Mary Loughan.
Tickets on sale now at $95 per person. Phone (02) 6373 3400, or email us at bookings@thistlehill.com.au.

Mudgee Wine Pioneers Unite
Great News!
Long-time organic vineyard and winery Thistle Hill is pleased to announce that it has merged with its neighbouring vineyard, Erudgere, in a move that will guarantee access to the best-quality grapes in the Mudgee region and a long future of award-winning wines.
The arrangement brings together one of Australia’s most-loved organic wine labels with the grower of some of the Mudgee region’s oldest and best-rated grapes. Erudgere Vineyard is also currently under conversion to organic certification, meaning Thistle Hill’s long history of sustainable viticulture will be upheld.
