Our Wine

The wines from Thistle Hill have a distinct style. The rich fruit flavours that spill from every bottle can be attributed to a combination of the warm climate, organic vineyard principles, basalt soils and unique winemaking.

2006 Semillon $18.00		The 2006 Semillon is light straw in colour with a delicate bouquet of passionfruit and lemon. The palate is crisp and fresh, with hints of citrus and tropical fruit. Drink 2008 - 2014.
2006 Chardonnay $19.00		This elegant chardonnay has a delicate bouquet of fresh lemon and peach. The palate shows fresh lime and stone fruit flavours with a subtle French oak finish. This wine won a bronze medal at the 2007 Mudgee Wine Show. Drink 2007 - 2012.
2004 Basket Press Pinot Noir $23.00		This delicious Pinot Noir was picked by hand and then pressed gently using a traditional wooden basket press. The wine has aromas of black cherry and smoky French oak and the palate is delicate with hints of ripe cherry and plum. Drink 2007 - 2012.
2004 Cabernet / Shiraz $15.00		The 2004 vintage was a spectacular season for red wine in Mudgee, and this cabernet shiraz blend is a fine example of the rich, full-bodied flavours the region typically produces. With a bouquet of blackcurrants and spice, and a palate of sweet berries and subtle oak, the wine is a steal at just $14.00 per bottle. Drink 2007-2014.
2004 Basket Press Shiraz $25.00		This delicious Shiraz has a bouquet of fresh blackcurrants and spice. The palate has lovely soft tannins with berry, plum and chocolate flavours balanced with sweet American oak. This wine won a silver medal at the 2006 Mudgee Wine Show. Drink 2007-2014.
2001 Premium Cabernet Sauvignon $25.00		A deep red colour, this elegant Cabernet Sauvignon has rich aromas of plum, ripe berries and sweet American oak. The palate is complex with plum, spice, oak and tobacco flavours developing into a long, lingering finish. Drink 2003-2010
1997 Liqueur Muscat $18.00 375ml bottle		A light terracotta colour, this Liqueur Muscat has a delicious bouquet of fresh Muscat grapes and aged brandy spirit. The palate is sensational. Warm caramel and smoky raisin flavours fill the mouth, with a hint of nutmeg and spice. This liqueur Muscat is to be sipped slowly. Drink Constantly
