Organic White Wine
In making our outstanding organic white wine, we use organic grapes, cultivated on our pretty, historical property in Mudgee, a wine region in country New South Wales. We were awarded organic certification in 1993, but we’ve been working chemical-free for more than four decades – since 1975.
The fact that we haven’t used any pesticides, herbicides or fertilisers for so long means that our land is unspoilt: we hope that wine making will continue here for generations to come. In our experience, organic white wine is the most flavoursome. Fruit that’s grown in rich, nutrient-soil turns into outstanding drops, with exuberant palates and complex notes. Plus, our wines are friendly to vegans and vegetarians, as they’re made without the use of animal products. We’re proud that our organic white wines have attracted attention throughout Australia and overseas, too.
Organic white wine: riesling
Of our organic white wines, our riesling is one of our best. This premium drop benefits from extended contact, which results in a long finish, featuring pine/lime and slate. To that you can add a well-structured body, plus notes of tropical pineapple, with touches of perfumed confectionery, ruby grapefruit and herbaceousness. Our Reislings are available now and ready to drink!
Organic white wine: chardonnay
Another outstanding organic white in our collection is our 2017 Low Preservative Organic Chardonnay. Lightly oaked, this wine offers notes of melon, stone fruit, caramel and complex light cashew nut. The generous body finishes with a refreshing citrus line.
Wines with minimal interference
In addition to working organically, we keep interference to a minimum. It’s our belief that nature knows best. This is vital to producing lively organic white wines that fully express the fruit from which they’re made. It also means that our practices have as little an impact on the environment as possible, which is so important to us.
